Angus Muirhead (BA, CFA), Managing Director, is Head of Equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Lead Portfolio Manager for the Credit Suisse Robotics strategy. Angus joined the Credit Suisse Thematic Equity team in 2016 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. He started his investment career in 1997 as a buy-side equity analyst at Phillips & Drew Fund Management in London before moving to Tokyo in 2000 to focus on the Japanese technology and health-care sectors. In 2007, he moved to Zurich as a portfolio manager specializing in global technology and health-care-related thematic equity funds. Angus holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Japanese Language and Business Studies from Durham University, United Kingdom, including a year of study at Kumamoto University, Japan, and is a CFA charterholder.

Julian Beard (BSc, CFA), Director, is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Credit Suisse Robotics strategy on the Themes Public Markets team. In 2004, Julian joined the US Equity team at Credit Suisse Asset Management and later covered European equities and launched the Global Quality Growth equity mandate. He started his career in 1998 as an investment analyst at Scottish Life before joining the US equity team at Abbey National in 2001. He has developed considerable expertise in key sectors including technology, industrials, and financials. Julian holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Edinburgh and is a CFA charterholder.
