Credit Suisse Asset Management appoints new heads for Global Real Estate and Real Estate Switzerland

Credit Suisse Asset Management today announced that Robert Rackind has been appointed Head of Global Real Estate. Joining Credit Suisse from EQT Real Estate, Robert brings close to 30 years of experience in this sector. He joined EQT in 2015, where he was a partner, establishing the firm’s real estate platform, team, strategies and reporting. Previously, he was founder and partner of global real estate investment and development company Wainbridge. Prior to that, he was an investment manager and Head of Asset Management at CPIM, and Development Director for Hines in Paris and London. Robert will be based in Zurich and start his role on June 15, 2022, reporting into Filippo Rima, Head Investment of Credit Suisse Asset Management.

Reto Ehinger, currently Head of Acquisition & Sales of the Real Estate Switzerland team, will take over the role as Head of Real Estate Switzerland, reporting into Robert Rackind. Reto has been with Credit Suisse since 2004. With over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, and a comprehensive knowledge of Swiss real estate transactions, valuations, rules and regulations, he is well suited to lead the team and build on its achievements.
In their respective roles, Robert Rackind and Reto Ehinger are succeeding Raymond Rüttimann, who will retire at the end of the year, and served as Head of Global Real Estate since 2020 and Head of Real Estate Switzerland since 2016. He started his first role at Credit Suisse in 2000.
Real estate is a key capability at Credit Suisse Asset Management, covering both direct and indirect real estate investment solutions. Credit Suisse is the largest direct real estate investment manager in Switzerland, and among the top 15 largest worldwide, with assets under management of approx. CHF 40bn (as of March 31, 2022).
