Thematic Flagship ETH Conference 2022

Explore the future. Now.

The third edition of the Thematic Flagship ETH Conference will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2022, in the Robotic Hall of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) at Zurich Hönggerberg. As this legendary venue suggests, the conference is situated at the confluence of science, finance, and industry – all forward-looking and innovative enterprises with the ability to expand our horizons, and yet deeply grounded in the practical, the doable, and the useful.

The new edition drops in a world where pandemic, war, and economic upheaval go hand in hand with paradigm-shifting technological innovation able to take on some of humanity’s hardest challenges. In this fertile environment, we will be hearing, among others, from Bertrand Piccard, who has spent his life seeking radical yet attainable innovation. And from Prof. Robert Katzschmann, ETH Zurich, who will show us how recent advances in robotic technology translate to real-world applications that make our lives easier, more livable, and also filled with wonder and a sense of possibility.

On the financial side, too, we will explore opportunities and methods of investing in the cutting edge of a better world, with a focus on the long-term secular themes of Security, Edutainment, Robotics, Digital Health and Environmental Impact.
