Credit Suisse Asset Management

Quarterly Virtual Conference

Join us at our upcoming live conference on April 5, 2022, from 14:00-15:45 CET, where we will give a general investment outlook across regions and asset classes, before we turn to the manifold opportunities in real estate.

All aspects of investing are being profoundly affected by current events, from inflation and central bank action to geopolitical upheaval. It is a situation that challenges even seasoned observers and yet, looking ahead and imagining the world that might emerge has become more important than ever. In our outlook, we will offer our clear-eyed and rational assessment.

This will be followed by an in-depth look at real estate, an asset class that will be of particular interest over the coming years. On one hand, it tends to do well in the kind of high-inflation environment we are rapidly entering. On the other hand, real estate exhibits a high sensitivity to interest-rate changes and prices could drop in the event of a substantial rate hike.

At the same time, longer-term trends are significantly changing the landscape. The pandemic has, for example, recalibrated global supply chains. And with the growing awareness of climate change and the increasing urgency to curb CO2 emissions, the real estate sector is in the middle of a hard pivot towards environmentally and socially responsible ways of building and doing business.

Overall, the response to these disparate trends and factors must be to take a closer look at the asset class, as various segments will behave differently. At the conference, this is exactly what we will do, from providing an outlook, to going on a deep dive into sustainability, and engaging in a lively panel discussion. We look forward to your participation.
