Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative

We have joined the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative and Net zero is a core sustainability ambition for Credit Suisse, a founding member of the Net Zero Banking Alliance. By joining the NZAM initiative, we are reaffirming – and reinforcing – this commitment, and promoting investments aimed at accomplishing this objective.

March 22, 2022

We acknowledge that there is an urgent need to accelerate the transition towards global net zero emissions. As a financial institution, we are committed to playing our part in addressing this global challenge. Mitigating climate change and the broader pursuit of sustainability practices are strategically important to us.

We are firmly convinced that factoring in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects should play a central part in our investment processes to enable better-informed investment decisions. Furthermore, through our voting and engagement activities, we have an opportunity to help steer companies towards a more sustainable net zero future. Both should benefit our clients as well as society.

Credit Suisse is a partner of the Race to zero initiative

The Net Zero Asset Managers initiative is an important milestone in our sustainability journey. Following today’s commitment, we will publish more details in the coming quarters around our carbon reduction targets, the methodology through which we will track our progress and the scope of portfolios covered. We will also report on our actions and update our targets regularly, bringing transparency and accountability to our efforts.
